Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, Inc. offers several options that families can choose from. While many families prefer a traditional funeral service consisting of visiting for an afternoon and evening at the funeral home and a religious service- others prefer simpler options like visiting in the morning only or a direct cremation with no services at all. Whatever option your family chooses Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home can fine tune the services to give you exactly what you want.

Traditional Funeral Services- $6,975

This is the most common option selected by a family. Many families choose this option because it gives you a wider range of times that family and friends can offer their condolences. The hours of visitation can be arranged to meet your family’s specific needs. Some families choose hours that span the early afternoon and night (such as 2-4 & 7-9pm) while others choose to arrange the hours in a single block of time (such as 4-8pm).

The following morning family and friends would gather back at the funeral home for a short visitation- followed by a religious service and then a burial or cremation.

The cost of our Traditional Funeral Service option would be $6,975. Our charges would include the removal from the place of death, embalming, dressing and placing the deceased in the casket, our basic arrangement charge, supervision for visitation and supervision for the funeral service, use of the funeral home for visitation, prayer cards, a register book for family and friends to sign, and a hearse for the morning of the funeral.

Morning Visitation with Cremation- $4,997

While many families are opting for cremation, most would like to have at least a short visitation to allow family and friends to offer their condolences. The hours of visitation would be from 9am to 11am- and families can have a religious service during that time if they desire. After the visitation we would have the cremation done privately at Woodlawn Crematory.

The cost of our Morning Visitation with Cremation option would be $4,997. Our charges would include the removal from the place of death, embalming, dressing and placing the deceased in the casket, a ceremonial casket for visitation, our basic arrangement charge, supervision for visitation, supervision to bring the deceased to Woodlawn Crematory, use of the funeral home for visitation, prayer cards, a register book for family and friends to sign, a service vehicle to transport the deceased to Woodlawn Crematory, New York City’s cremation permit fee, and Woodlawn Crematory’s charge to perform the cremation.

Direct Cremation- $2,997

For those families who choose to have a cremation with no visitation or services at all we offer a Direct Cremation option. The cost of our Direct Cremation option would be $2,997. Our charges would include removal from the place of death, a wood-based cremation container, dressing and placing the deceased in the container, our basic arrangement charge, supervision to bring the deceased to Woodlawn Crematory, a service vehicle to transport the deceased, New York City’s cremation permit fee, and Woodlawn Crematory’s charge to perform the cremation.

Financing

Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, Inc. is an independently owned business. We are totally dependent upon families we serve for payment by the day of services. We realize the expense of caring for the death of your loved one is often unplanned and unexpected. Our Bronx Funeral Home has established a uniform payment policy to serve all families fairly.

3. Life Insurance Assignment from verified policy

4, Financing. We now work with Lending USA, a company that offers an affordable funding option for our families. If approved you may have absolutely no out-of-pocket expense.

Being a small business and the uncertainty regarding estate payments, we are not able to file against estates for payment.

During this trying time of uncertainty we at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home are committed to serving our families with the utmost respect and dignity.

In order to keep our staff and families safe we’ve instituted some measures:

1) At this point in time our office will be open daily from 8am to 4pm with limited staff.

2) We urge families to make funeral arrangements via telephone, video conference, or email.

3) If families must come into the funeral home we require families to call to make an appointment before coming in.

4) If families must come into the funeral home we will only allow the immediate family (spouse and children only) to be part of the arrangement conference.

While we’re limited in the services we can offer at this time we assure you that we are trying our best to maintain the traditions that families have come to expect. Our main concern at this point in time is the safety of our families and of our staff. The regulations instituted by the City and State of New York change daily and we will always keep our families informed of changes that will impact them.
