I love the photo that you chose, reminds me of when he was playing guitar in the church. He was also so happy when he was playing music.

My heart is heavy losing my grandfather, he has blessed this earth for 95 years. I’m going to miss all his funny stories about animals that he loved to share, and all his clever creations he would construct to make life easier around the house. How simple things like making me a Caterpillar toy out of wood and a piece shoe lace gave him such joy. He had watched every classic Disney movie with me growing up and even had his own favorite “The 3 Caballeros” I can never watch that movie and not think of him. He was so pure and kind hearted. They don’t make them like that anymore. Rest In Peace Welo ❤️ I love you.

This is very hard for me to except, all I can think about is all you have done for me and the family. How over protective you was. You refused to let us leave the block (Fulton ave). You watched us play in crotona park from our bed room window like a hawk making sure we were all right. You walked me to the bus stop so I can go to school up to the 7th grade until I told you I was embarrassed and let me go alone. I love you poppy and miss you already. Love you!! your son Armandito.

I didn’t know personally. But my dearest friend Yoly .Had shared stories and memories of her beloved popi . Throughout the years. So in some ways I feel I knew you vicariously and wished I had personally. I was saddened when we were called telling us that most loved and cherished popi passed. I believe that his Spirit and soul are residing with God in Heaven. Imagine his awe at seeing the Glory of God and the beauty of his new resident! Being reunited with his son Carlos. What a reunion that must have been. My heart and prayers will be for each of you in this time . May you lean on God for strength and peace.
