Virginia “Josie” Villegas, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on January 21, 2018. She was 61.
Ms. Villegas was born on August 20, 1956 in New York City to the late Arcadio and Micaela (Castro) Villegas. For approximately 15 years she worked as a Court Interpreter for the Bronx Supreme Court.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jessica Gonzalez-Matos her husband Tony, Mabel Gonzalez-Arnold and her husband Gary; her grandson the late Hector Manuel Rodriguez; her sisters, Maria Satterfield and her husband William and Evelyn Gonzalez-Spivey and her husband Paul; her brother, Miguel Villegas and his companion Maria Morales; and many loving Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday 4-8pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday 10am at St. Athanasius Church, 878 Tiffany Street, Bronx. Interment will be held in Puerto Rico.
