Theodore Carides, a resident of Brookfield, Connecticut and formerly of the Bronx, died on June 3, 2017. He was 94.
Mr. Carides was born on May 17, 1923 in the Bronx to the late James and Despina (Pana) Carides. He served as a staff sergeant in the Army Air Force during World War II. On February 24, 1946 he married Antoinette DiSanzo. She died on October 19, 2015. For many years before his retirement he worked as an accountant for RCA Global Communications.
He is survived by his daughter, Janice Gioielli and her husband Guy; his grandson, Tom Gioielli; his granddaughter, Christine Oliver and her husband Devon; and many loving nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his daughter Joyce Ringhel and his sister Patsy Parrilli.
Visiting will be Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Funeral Mass will be Thursday 10am at Zoodohos Peghe Greek Orthodox Church, 3573 Bruckner Boulevard, Bronx. Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx.
