Noel “Yaya” Hill, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on May 24, 2017. She was 75.
Ms. Hill was born on December 24, 1941 in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands to the late Randolph and Elmita Stephens Brown. For many years before her retirement she worked as a registered nurse and then a social worker for Visiting Nurse Services.
She is survived by her son Michael Hill; her daughter Tuesday K. Brown; her grandchildren, Desirea Avila, Andrew Taylor and his fiancée Gina Kowlasky, Paris Hill and his mother Violetta Mendina, Tuesday McGuire, and Claude “C.J.” Robinson III; her great-granddaughter Noemi “NuNu” Neptune; her sisters, Idrena Adams, Drene Brown, Marie Brown, and Grace Brown; many loving nieces and nephews; and her dog Lily.
Visiting will be Wednesday 4-9pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 11am at Our Lady of Solace Church, 731 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Interment will be private.
