Irma Maschi, 89, of the Morris Park area of the Bronx, passed away peacefully with family members by her side on Friday, June 30, 2017.
She emigrated to the United States from the northern foothills of Piacenza, Italy in the mid 1950’s to lower Manhattan and made her way with her family to settle in the Bronx in the 1960’s. She worked as a housekeeper for various doctors, lawyers, and the clergy of St. Clare’s of Assisi parish for over twenty-five years.
Irma is pre-deceased by her beloved husband Carlo, and her son John Maschi. She is survived by her sons Lino and Louis Maschi, and her daughters-in-law Linda and Toni Maschi. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Alexandra, Michael, Matthew, and Alex. She is one of twelve siblings and is survived by her sisters Rose and Teresa Guglielmetti. She is the beloved aunt and grand aunt to many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends who are left to mourn her loss and she will be severely missed.
Visiting will be Sunday, July 3 from 2-9pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Monday 11am at St. Clare’s of Assisi Church, 1075 Rhinelander Avenue, Bronx. Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx.
